According to the request for a hearing from the president of RTP, Bloco de Esquerda (BE) says that, “according to the 2016 accounts report of Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, the company's management president, Gonçalo Reis, sold the land from the old RTP broadcasting station, in Miramar (Vila Nova de Gaia), allegedly for 600 thousand euros, in a property sales item that includes another building in Ponta Delgada, for a total sum of 621,8 thousand euros ”.
Now, “the Miramar land has now been offered for sale on the Idealista sales website for 12,3 million euros and is presented as one of the best land in Porto - Vila Nova de Gaia - Miramar ideal for the construction of a hotel, luxury resort or luxury condominium ”, says BE.
“Thus, under the rules and constitutional provisions, the Left Bloc Parliamentary Group requires, as a matter of urgency, the hearing of the chairman of the Board of Directors” of RTP.
The hearing of Nuno Artur Silva, on the other hand, stems from the “information reported and confirmed” that the governor “ceded part of his company - Produções Fictícias - to his nephew, through a contract for the granting of quotas that provides for the right to receive another 20 thousand euros depending on the company's net profit ”.
BE points out that "the company has content supply contracts with RTP, contracts that exceed 400 thousand euros, and a new contract is allegedly under discussion that could raise this value above the million euros", so he wants to hear the secretary of State on the topic “as a matter of urgency”.
